To nurture kindness, children can learn to share happiness with other people: a hug, a knowing smile, or giving presents. They love listening to happy or unhappy adventures, then undermine their ager or unhappiness down, and do something that isn’t their responsibilities.
In addition to being kind to others, it is imperative for children to be kind to themselves. When children encounter difficulties, they can find help, listening to music, reading books, or going to the country park.
Nurturing empathy and kindness are closely related, and they are both important in children’s personal development. Empathy is about how you feel, while kindness is doing something for someone within your ability.
It is also important for children to understand how to nurture kindness, which doesn’t mean they are say yes to everything. They must protect themselves well and pay attention to what and who they are dealing with, and their surroundings. When they feel suspicious, such as asked for or forced to commit criminal activity, they need to be brave enough to say no immediately.
The same as the Poppy O’ Neill children’s social learning series, each book of Paula’s When I Am introduces a single behavior that guides parents and teens to have a basic understanding of what is important for them in their life development.
Paula’s When I Am series does not include any activities. Instead, by using simple language with lots of anime, the books are more appealing to teen’s interests and enable them to easily understand the meaning in different cognitive behaviors
