Content Consideration
Sad is an emotional response that someone or something has happened in children’s life. It triggers children’s psychological and physiological signs to feel sullenness, avoid group activities, feel self-empty and small, cry frequently, and want to hide away.
Due to the fact that some children are too shy to express themselves effectively, parents can only observe their happiness but not their sadness or their real feelings. In the worst causes, it would be because of school bullying.
A friendship relationship is encouraged to establish between parents and their children. Children are also encouraged to be brave to express their feelings when they are adventurous any difficulties causing them feel sadness.
Most importantly, children can learn how to feel happiness. That includes what they can do to undermine the feelings of sadness, such as reading, drawing, or talking to parents or teachers.
Takwaway
It is important for parents to understand that negative sentiment, thinking, and behavior affect children’s personal development. Children are encouraged to be optimistic. Nurturing children to feel loved, happy, calm, and surprised, and to be kind, playful, brave, curious, and creative in their whole life.
The same as the Poppy O’ Neill children’s social learning series, each book of Paula’s When I Am introduces a single behavior that guides parents and teens to have a basic understanding of what is important for them in their life development.
Paula’s When I Am series does not include any activities. Instead, by using simple language with lots of anime, the books are more appealing to teen’s interests and enable them to easily understand the meaning in different cognitive behaviors.
